Mission Statement:
We want to inspire the people of Paradise Hills and work with them to communicate their needs and work as a team to best assist to those needs. We want to help create a long-lasting and positive impact by using the design principles of Standford University and each member of our team (paradisehillsfacesofchange.weebly.com/our-team.html) will be in charge of one of the design phases.
Design Phases:
Phase: Empathize
Description: This is the first phase where we really try to get to know the community and understand the needs of the Paradise Hills by visiting the community, interviewing locals and investigating ways to understand, how we, sophomores in high-school can best help the community with their struggles. This is also the phase where we start brainstorming new and inventive ways to help our community.
Leader: Anthropologist
Phase: Define
Description: This is where, like the title suggests, we start defining what the community needs and wants and we will start developing a plan on how we want to help our community. Whether, that is one,big project that we will concentrate on until December or more smaller ones that we will work on throughout the three months. In this phase, we will host a summit on October 20th at our school's campus where we will get critique on the plan.
Leader: Journalist
Phase: Ideate
Description: In this phase, we solidifying of what we should do for our community and putting it into action.
Leader: Politician
Phase: Prototype
Description: In this phase, we will be starting to actually put our plans into action and prototyping our plans and if it's not what the community wants, we will improve our plans and make sure whatever we decide to help out with that's it's what's beneficial for our community.
Leader: Education Liaison
Phase: Test
Description: In our final phase, we will be getting to the end of our project and finishing our project in Paradise Hills, hopefully, by this time we'll have made a positive and long-lasting change in Paradise Hills.

Elevator Pitch
On September 30th, we were invited to the SCEDC 26th Annual Economic Summit where we had an opportunity to promote our "Faces Of Change" project and we needed an elevator pitch to summarize our project while we networked.
"Hello, my name is insert name here. I am a representative of High Tech High Chula Vista. I am here to promote our "Faces Of Change" project where we go into six different communities trying to best identify the needs of that community and work with the people of that community to best fulfill those needs. The community I will be helping is Paradise Hills and my group and I went into Paradise Hills and interviewed some of the locals and most of them said that their biggest needs for the community was more events for kids and more community gatherings. So, at the moment, my group and I are planning an event for the kids on Halloween."
